The Faris Al Muhtawa program seeks to incubate 100 content creators from the UAE and the Arab world over the next five years, with the aim of bringing their voices to the world through various digital platforms and enriching Arabic content across various fields, such as medicine, law, economics, sustainability, climate change, space, and education. and others.
The program covers various aspects of content creation from A to Z, from script writing and storytelling, to photography and editing, dealing with brands, and managing accounts from a commercial perspective to achieve financial returns. This moves participants from creating content as a hobby, to making it a professional level.
After that, a selection of 10 participants will be selected to join the exclusive content creators team at the New Media Academy. During a 3-year training period, participants will be able to develop their strategic thinking and content across various social media platforms, in addition to more opportunities for collaboration, paid media exposure, PR and more.
Twenty content creators took part in the first edition of Faris Al Muhtawa, which has been a great success. Participating content creators saw an increase in follower numbers exceeding 480%, entered fruitful partnerships with high-profile companies, government entities and brands, enabling them to dedicate their efforts to the content industry as their major source of income. In its second edition, Faris Al Muhtawa welcomed 13 content creators who have seen an increase of more than 2112.95% in follower numbers, while the latest season afforded its 33 participants an increase of over 45.57% in follower numbers.
The program focuses currently on UAE-based content creators over the age of 18. However, other programs to attract content creators from across the Arab region are currently under development.
